Mit Schreiben vom 04.05.1899 teilte Felix von Luschan Direktor A. Andreae mit, dass Justin Zintgraff dem Roemer-Museum "einen erheblichen Theil der von seinem Sohn hinterlassenen ethnographischen Sammlungen als Geschenk überreicht."
