An das Landesmuseum Natur und Mensch Oldenburg wurde das Objekt im Auftrag der Langheld-Brüder (Wilhelm, Dr. Johannes und Friedrich) durch den Berliner Bankdirektor Wilhelm Schultz vermittelt. Das Landesmuseum Natur und Mensch Oldenburg hat den Eingang der sogenannten "Langheld-Sammlung" als "Schenkung" an die Oldenburger Öffentlichkeit kommuniziert.
