| Description | Eine nachträgliche Annotation im Inventarbuch ordnet das Objekt den Massai zu. Dies muss jedoch in erhebliche Zweifel gezogen werden. Anders als im Inventarbuch beschrieben, handelt es sich bei der Bespannung nicht um Krokodilhaut, sondern um Haut vom Rücken eines Nilwaran (Varanus Niloticus). |

Comments
Leutnant Bernhard Link nahm von Herbst 1894 bis August 1895 am Feldzug der "Schutztruppe" gegen die Wahehe teil. Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich, dass er sich des Objektes im Zuge dieser Militäraktion bemächtigte.
