Das Objekt steht unter dem Verdacht, beim Angriff des Dampfers "Hermann von Wissmann" auf Mbamba Bay am 30. August 1895 von Theodor Berndt geplündert worden zu sein. Berndt war Kapitän der "Hermann von Wissmann."
