Bei „G. Meyer“ handelt es sich mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit um Gustav Friedrich Meyer (geb. 28. Februar 1878 in Gleschendorf/Pönitz, gest. 29. Juli 1945 in Neustadt in Holstein), der Volkskundler und Heimatforscher in Schleswig-Holstein war. Über die frühere Provenienz ist nichts bekannt.
