Bianca Baumann

Bianca Baumann is a Cultural Anthropologist and works as Research Associate within the PAESE project at the State Museum Hanover. She completed her curatorial traineeship at the museum in Hanover and was involved as curator in the exhibitions Difficult Legacy. Remnants of Colonialism today as well as Cedric Nunn. Unsettled. She has also worked at the Ethnological Museum in Berlin and at a publishing house in London. At the universities in Mainz and Port Elizabeth, she studied Cultural Anthropology, African Linguistic Studies and Sociology. Her research interest lies on African history as well as the tangible and intangible heritage in Africa. Regional focuses are Southern Africa and the former German colonies in Africa, particularly Cameroon.
